Holly House Preschool, LLC

Holly House is a preschool program serving three, four and five year olds. We focus on social, emotional, academic, and self-care skills that the children will need as kindergarteners.

In an age of early academic pressure and developmentally inappropriate teaching goals, we believe that early childhood is a very precious time. This is the time for children to wonder, explore, question and use their imagination as they develop. We seek to develop the whole child rather than just academics. For if a child is not secure in themselves and their social and emotional skills, learning academics becomes a true struggle and is not enjoyable.

We understand that children learn best through play and strive to provide a wealth of activities to encourage all children to actively engage in learning. We believe it is our responsibility as early childhood educators to lay the groundwork for creating lifetime learners.

We know that parents are a child’s first teachers and therefore seek to create a strong bond and sense of community with both our students and their families. We often talk about our “school family” and how we take care of and encourage one another.
